\n Budimex, as\u00a0part of a\u00a0consortium with ZUE and STRABAG, completed the LCS Kutno (\u017bychlin \u2013 Bar\u0142ogi section) on\u00a0the E-20 railway route 8 days before the scheduled date. The scope of Budimex SA\u2019s activities included works at\u00a0the Zamk\u00f3w branch post, the Bar\u0142ogi station and the Bar\u0142ogi \u2013 LCS Kutno border. The work carried out by\u00a0the other consortium members is still in\u00a0progress.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Budimex entered the construction site in\u00a0July 2018. The implementation required the introduction of a\u00a0complete closure of the line, and traffic was carried out through a\u00a0detour route and replacement bus transport. Due to\u00a0the need to\u00a0shorten the period of this shift as\u00a0soon as\u00a0possible, the works were carried out around the clock. During this time, the track was dismantled, the ground was strengthened and a\u00a0new surface was built over a\u00a0length of 18 km. The turnouts were also dismantled and reassembled. \u00a0\u201d In\u00a0addition, we\u00a0have hung 27 km of new overhead contact line and built a\u00a0new signal box building, in\u00a0which we\u00a0have launched a\u00a0computer rail traffic control system with a\u00a0connection <\/em>to\u00a0a\u00a0new line blockade<\/em> ,\u201d says Jakub Konkiewicz, Contract Manager at\u00a0Budimex SA. \u2013 Cooperation between the companies from the consortium proceeded smoothly. We\u00a0all wanted to\u00a0finish the activities as\u00a0soon as\u00a0possible and return the route. Thanks to\u00a0proper organization and work around the clock, we\u00a0put the track into operation on\u00a0June 9, i.e. a\u00a0week before the contract deadline <\/em>\u2013 adds \u00a0Grzegorz Krzysta\u0144ski, Contract Director with ZUE S.A.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Route Warsaw \u2013 Pozna\u0144 in\u00a0just over 2 hours<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Once all works on\u00a0railway line 3 are completed, traffic will be\u00a0able to\u00a0run at\u00a0a\u00a0speed of 160 km\/h for passenger trains and 120 km\/h for freight trains. Thanks to\u00a0the new platforms, passenger service will be\u00a0improved, and traffic management from Local Control Centers will increase the capacity of the line. According to\u00a0PKP PLK forecasts, in\u00a02020 the travel time between Pozna\u0144 and Warsaw will be\u00a02 hours 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n Budimex SA for railways<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Budimex SA is currently among the top three largest railway contractors. The company has m.in behind it. reconstruction of the Olszamowice station, or\u00a0modernization of the ring railway line in\u00a0Warsaw. For the latter contract, Budimex SA was awarded the title of \u201cDiamond of Infrastructure and Construction 2018\u201d in\u00a0railway construction. Other investments in\u00a0this sector carried out by\u00a0the company include m.in.\u00a0modernization of the railway line No. 7 Otwock \u2013 D\u0119blin, reconstruction of the E59 railway line on\u00a0the Rokietnica-Wronki section, or\u00a0works on\u00a0LCS Idzikowice. These three contracts are to\u00a0end in\u00a02020. The company is already facing new challenges \u2013 in\u00a0March this year, Budimex SA was selected as\u00a0the contractor for the Gdynia Port Station. The investment is to\u00a0be\u00a0implemented as\u00a0part of the improvement of rail access to\u00a0the seaport in\u00a0Gdynia.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
