The contract for the implementation of the investment between the consortium of Budimex SA (consortium partner with a\u00a048.46% share), Steinm\u00fcller Babcock Environment GmbH (consortium leader), UAB Kauno dujotiekio statyba (consortium partner) and JSC \u201cVilniaus kogeneracine jegaine\u201d (contracting authority) was concluded on\u00a029 September 2016. The condition for the start of the project was m.in.\u00a0obtaining funds by\u00a0the investor to\u00a0finance it. The task includes the turnkey construction of a\u00a0complete thermal waste treatment plant and a\u00a0system for the production of electricity and heat from the biomass combustion process with auxiliary installations. The new CHP plant in\u00a0Vilnius will have a\u00a0capacity to\u00a0produce approximately 88 MW of electrical capacity and 227 MW of thermal capacity.<\/p>\n
