\n June 14, 2017 Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board of Budimex SA, signed a\u00a0contract with the Municipal Roads Authority for the reconstruction of national road No. 12. The contract is to\u00a0be\u00a0implemented in\u00a0the plan and build mode. The investment will contribute to\u00a0the improvement of road infrastructure, which has a\u00a0direct impact on\u00a0the improvement of road safety.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The implementation of the project includes the reconstruction of national road No. 12 within the city limits of Che\u0142m with a\u00a0length of approx. 8.2 km with reconstruction and construction of the necessary accompanying infrastructure. The beginning and end of the reconstructed road section is located at\u00a0the connections of the urban section of the road within the administrative borders of the city of Che\u0142m with the sections managed by\u00a0the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.<\/p>\n

Budimex will not only rebuild the national \u201ctwelve\u201d, but will also be\u00a0responsible for preparing the technical design. The works will include a\u00a0comprehensive reconstruction of Rejowiecka Street, Al.\u00a0Friendship, Brest and Eastern Ramp. The investment program also includes the reconstruction of the bridge over the Uherka River, the reconstruction of the viaduct over the former railway siding in\u00a0the line of al.\u00a0Przyja\u017ani, the construction of a\u00a0new viaduct over the railway tracks and the construction of bus stops, noise barriers and over 8 km of bicycle paths. The design work itself will take up to\u00a0a\u00a0year and a\u00a0half, and the works will be\u00a0completed in\u00a02020.<\/p>\n

The contract value amounts to\u00a0PLN 96.33 million net.<\/p>\n

The Che\u0142m project will be\u00a0co-financed from EU\u00a0funds as\u00a0part of a\u00a0competition announced by\u00a0the Centre for EU\u00a0Transport Projects. The main idea is to\u00a0increase the transport accessibility of urban centres located in\u00a0the Trans-European Road Network (TEN-T). Che\u0142m will receive PLN 170 million of EU\u00a0support for the renovation of its section of the \u201ctwelve\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
