\n The consortium of Torpol (leader) and Budimex (50% share of the companies) has signed a\u00a0contract with PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. for the modernization of the Trzebinia \u2013 Krzeszowice section. This is the last section of the Katowice \u2013 Krak\u00f3w route on\u00a0which work will start.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The contract with a\u00a0net value of PLN 596.72 million includes the modernization of the route and 2 railway stations Trzebinia and Krzeszowice in\u00a0terms of the track system, overhead contact line, track surface with improved track geometry, telecommunications equipment and Railway Traffic Control equipment. In\u00a0total, the reconstruction covers a\u00a0section of approx. 17 km of double-track railway line No. 133 at\u00a0km 29.110 \u2013 46.700.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0part of the investment, 60 km of track, 110 turnouts, 10 platforms and 46 engineering structures will be\u00a0rebuilt, including the reconstruction of existing engineering structures, construction of cubature maintenance facilities, platforms, small architecture and environmental protection facilities. The implementation of the entire project will take 27 months from the date of commencement of works.<\/p>\n

The Katowice \u2013 Krakow route is located on\u00a0the international E30 corridor, running from Germany through Poland to\u00a0Ukraine. Thanks to\u00a0the investments to\u00a0be\u00a0co-financed by\u00a0the EU\u2019s Connecting Europe Facility programme, passenger trains will be\u00a0able to\u00a0travel along this route at\u00a0a\u00a0speed of 160 km\/h in\u00a0the future, and freight trains at\u00a0120 km\/h.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
