\n Budimex has signed a\u00a0contract with the Bia\u0142ystok branch of GDDKiA for the design and construction of the S61 Ostr\u00f3w Mazowiecka-Szczuczyn expressway, section: Stawiski junction (without the junction) \u2013 the beginning of the Szczuczyn bypass with a\u00a0length of 18 km. The contract was signed on\u00a0behalf of Budimex by\u00a0Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

A\u00a0dual carriageway road with a\u00a0length of approx. 18 km will run almost entirely on\u00a0the new track. The new road will be\u00a0adapted to\u00a0a\u00a0load capacity of 115 kN\/axle and a\u00a0design speed of 110 km\/h. The surface will be\u00a0made of cement concrete.<\/p>\n

It will be\u00a0another section of the Via Baltica route, which in\u00a0Polish runs along the S8 expressway from Warsaw to\u00a0Ostr\u00f3w Mazowiecka and further along the S61 expressway, which is to\u00a0connect Ostr\u00f3w Mazowiecka with the Polish border in\u00a0the town of Budzisko.<\/p>\n

The contract amounts to\u00a0PLN 278 million net.<\/p>\n

From the moment the contract is signed, Budimex has 31 months to\u00a0prepare the design, obtain the necessary administrative decisions and construct the expressway (not including winter periods during the construction phase).<\/p>\n

Via Baltica is a\u00a0fragment of the international road E67, which runs from Poland through Lithuania and Latvia to\u00a0Estonia.
