On 14 September, a consortium of Strabag and Budimex concluded a contract with GDDKiA for the design and construction of a section of the A1 motorway in the province of Szczecin. Lodz. The tasks of Strabag and Budimex will include the construction of section C, i.e. the route from Kamie\u0144sk to Radomsko. This road is 16.7 km long. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The consortium of Strabag and Budimex announced that the investment will be completed within 32 months, but without including the 4-month winter period, counted from 15 December to 15 March. The value of the investment was estimated at PLN 573.14 million gross.<\/p>\n

Section C, built by the consortium of Strabag and Budimex, as well as sections B and D, will be different from the currently existing motorway marked as section A. Two lanes in each direction will replace three. In addition, at the intersections in Kamie\u0144sk and Radomsko there will be collision-free interchanges instead of single-level intersections. It is also significant that a concrete surface will be used in the construction of this road, which will significantly affect its durability.<\/p>\n

The A1 motorway is an important investment in Poland, as it is the only Polish motorway connecting the north and south of the country. Its ends are the Tri-City and the town of Gorzyczki, in the Silesian Voivodeship.<\/p>\n

There are still 4 sections to be built in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Voivodeship, and the total length of the A1 motorway in this part of Polish will be a total of 167 km. \u2013 The A1 motorway is an extremely important investment for Polish, because its construction will open a business route for our southern neighbours to the ports in the Tri-City. We are ready to work for this investment, because as a leader on the Polish construction market, we have extensive experience in modern road construction<\/em> \u2013 says Dariusz Blocher, President of the Management Board of Budimex S.A.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
