On 5 October 2018,\u00a0 an agreement was concluded between the consortium of Budimex SA (Consortium Leader \u2013 50%) and Strabag Sp. z o.o. (Consortium Partner \u2013 50%) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a for: Design and construction of the S14 expressway of the Western Bypass of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Zad. A \u2013 Section I, the \u201c\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Lublinek\u201d junction \u2013 the \u201c\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Teofil\u00f3w\u201d junction, Zad. B \u2013 Section II \u201c\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Teofil\u00f3w\u201d junction (without the junction) \u2013 DK91 in S\u0142owik town within the scope of Part No. 1 of the contract: \u201cDesign and construction of the S14 expressway of the Western Bypass of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Zad. A \u2013 Section I, the \u201c\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Lublinek\u201d junction \u2013 the \u201c\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Teofil\u00f3w\u201d junction.<\/p>\n

The consortium will build a 12-kilometre (southern) section of the S14 in the \u201cDesign and Build\u201d system. The net value of the contract is PLN 456,748,863.00. The completion date is 32 months from the date of conclusion of the contract (including obtaining the occupancy permit).<\/p>\n

BUDIMEX SA is a Polish leader in the construction industry, which has been working for the economic development of Polish for 50 years. Budimex\u2019s competences include construction, reconstruction, modernisation, extension, renovation and design of road, rail, airport, cubature, energy, industrial and environmental investments. The largest part of the company\u2019s activity is occupied by road contracts. The company\u2019s innovation and commitment mean that it is entrusted with the largest and most representative road investments in Poland, e.g. sections of Via Baltica \u2013 an expressway, which is one of the most important investments in Masuria. The most important projects in this sector also include the construction of a section of the S-17 route, connecting Lublin with Warsaw, or the construction and renovation of sections of the S7 route, which connects three large agglomerations: Gda\u0144sk, Warsaw and Krak\u00f3w. At the moment, the company is implementing approx. 125 road investments, which include the construction and modernization of local and national roads. These are m.in. design and construction of the Suwa\u0142ki bypass, the Independence Route in Bia\u0142ystok or the \u0141agiewnicka Route in Krakow.
