The contract has a\u00a0net value of PLN 332.9 million. <\/p>\n

Budimex, as\u00a0the leader (50.4 per cent of shares), will carry out the investment in\u00a0a\u00a0consortium with Keppel, Seghers, Belgium N.V and Cespa Compania Espa\u00f1ola de\u00a0Servicios Publicos Auxiliares SA.<\/p>\n

The incineration plant will be\u00a0built at\u00a0ul.\u00a0Anders in\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok. Thanks to\u00a0the investment from over 90 to\u00a0approx. 12 per cent. the amount of municipal waste that ends up at\u00a0the municipal landfill in\u00a0Hryniewicze will decrease. Annually, the new incineration plant will dispose of approx. 120 thousand tons of waste. In\u00a0addition, electricity and heat will be\u00a0generated from waste incineration.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cThe winning consortium gained an advantage over the competition by\u00a0proposing better technical solutions (in\u00a0particular achieving the highest power of electricity produced), guaranteeing low emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere (especially nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide) and the lowest operating costs,\u201d said Janusz Marek Szymczukiewicz, President of PUHP \u201cLECH\u201d.<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

Design works will begin soon after signing the contract, construction works \u2013 in\u00a02013.<\/p>\n

The scope of construction works includes land development (administrative and office building, roads, parking lots, squares, networks, fences) and the construction of one complete municipal waste incineration line, which consists of:<\/p>\n

\u2013 the segment of acceptance and temporary storage of delivered municipal waste,
\u2013 segments of thermal waste treatment through incineration and energy recovery from incinerated waste,
\u2013 the segment of processing recovered energy and feeding it to\u00a0the grid in\u00a0the form of heat and electricity,
\u2013 flue gas treatment segment,
\u2013 slag processing segment with recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals,
\u2013 segment for stabilization and solidification of ashes and solid residues from flue gas treatment.<\/p>\n

The contractor\u2019s obligations also include conducting final and operational tests and obtaining a\u00a0permit to\u00a0use the incineration plant.<\/p>\n

The completion date of the works is scheduled for the end of December 2015.<\/p>\n
