The new runway will be ready at the end of September 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of work includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>construction of a 3.2-kilometer section of the runway made of asphalt concrete,<\/li>\n<li>construction of taxiways and technical roads,<\/li>\n<li>reconstruction of the radio navigation system,<\/li>\n<li>construction of teletechnical networks for radio navigation and meteorological devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preparatory works for the construction of the runway will begin in autumn this year, and construction works in spring next year.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of a new runway at Katowice Airport is another contract of Budimex related to the airport infrastructure and the second for the Upper Silesian Aviation Society. In 2008, Budimex built an apron at this airport.<\/p>\n<p>In November this year. Budimex has completed the construction of Lublin Airport. The investment was the winner of this year\u2019s edition of the \u201cLife in Architecture\u201d competition. Also this year, the construction of the passenger terminal in Gda\u0144sk \u2013 R\u0119biechowo was completed. The new terminal was awarded the title of \u201cConstruction of the Year 2011\u201d and was among the winners of the \u201cWings of the Tri-City\u201d competition.<\/p>\n<p>Budimex is the contractor for the aprons of the airports in Gda\u0144sk-R\u0119biechowo, Warsaw and Wroc\u0142aw-Strachowice. In Wroc\u0142aw, Budimex also expanded the passenger terminal (2008).
