The contract with the Bia\u0142ystok branch of GDDKiA for the design and construction of the August\u00f3w bypass, worth PLN 535.9 million net, was signed on\u00a011 March 2011. Budimex has time until 11 September 2014 to\u00a0complete the investment.<\/p>\n

The bypass will be\u00a036.3 km long. The first section, 23.3 km long, will be\u00a0the single-carriageway national road No. 8, the second, 13-kilometre, will be\u00a0the dual carriageway S61 expressway. Both sections will be\u00a0connected by\u00a0the Scotland junction.<\/p>\n

The bypass will run through the village of Raczki and will not interfere with areas included in\u00a0the European Ecological Network Natura 2000.<\/p>\n

After the construction site is handed over by\u00a0the investor, Budimex will start cutting down trees and stabilising the boundaries of the right-of-way. This is also the time for preparatory work, i.e. organization of construction facilities, construction of technological and access roads to\u00a0the construction site, removal of a\u00a0fertile layer of soil (humus) from the route of the future bypass, soil replacement and construction of temporary drainage ditches.<\/p>\n

The works will be\u00a0carried out to\u00a0the extent that the winter period allows.<\/p>\n

\n <\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

\u2013 construction of two sections of the bypass with a\u00a0total length of 36.3 km,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of five transport hubs: August\u00f3w, Borki, Jan\u00f3wka, Scotland, Airport,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of 33 bridge structures, including: bridges over the Kamienny Br\u00f3d, Rospuda, Zalewianka, G\u0142\u0119boka and Szczeberka rivers, 15 viaducts and 11 animal crossings,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of 20 culverts serving as\u00a0animal crossings,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of four Motorway Service Areas (in\u00a0the area of Jan\u00f3wka and Koniecb\u00f3r),
\u2013 <\/em>construction of a\u00a0road maintenance circuit in\u00a0the area of the Szkocja Junction in\u00a0the city of Crampons,
\u2013 <\/em>reconstruction of the existing road network,
\u2013 <\/em>installation of traffic safety devices,
\u2013 <\/em>installation of noise barriers,
