On\u00a0the section under construction, the construction of embankments is underway. The stabilization of the subsoil and the reinforcement of the subsoil with geosynthetic mattresses are coming to\u00a0an end. The construction of gravel columns and concreting of concrete columns has been completed.<\/p>\n

Due to\u00a0the drop in\u00a0temperature, the assortment of works was interrupted, which cannot be\u00a0performed at\u00a0low temperatures due to\u00a0the technological regime. Before the onset of winter, 32 per cent. frost protection layer, 40 percent. cement-stabilized aggregate foundations, 9 percent foundations made of mechanically stabilized crushed aggregate and 22 percent. lean concrete foundations.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0one carriageway of the S-8 expressway, a\u00a02 km long section of concrete surface was made (in\u00a0the area of R\u00f3\u017ca).<\/p>\n

The progress of road works has reached the level of 59 percent.<\/p>\n

The progress of works is also visible on\u00a0bridge structures. Foundation works in\u00a0the field of large-diameter piles have been completed. The concreting of strip foundations, bodies and columns of bridge and viaduct supports has come to\u00a0an end. Wherever possible, load-bearing structures of objects are made. There are only three left to\u00a0be\u00a0done. Along with the progressing construction of embankments, the abutments of bridge structures, animal crossings and culverts are being backfilled. The level of advancement of works on\u00a0bridge structures is currently 65 percent.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0rainwater drainage system is being built along the section under construction, and the construction of water supply networks has already been completed. The concreting of the slopes and the bottom of the retention reservoirs is underway. One of the six planned tanks is already ready. The reconstruction of collisions with telecommunications lines and networks of the High Toll Plaza in\u00a0Rzg\u00f3w has come to\u00a0an end, work is underway on\u00a0the construction of road lighting and the construction of technical service buildings.<\/p>\n

The above-mentioned industry robots are 40 percent advanced.<\/p>\n

The work is carried out in\u00a0a\u00a0two-shift system, and if the technology requires it \u2013 around the clock. 544 people work on\u00a0the construction site \u2013 53 representatives of the engineering staff, 21 foremen, 76 construction equipment operators, 180 drivers and 214 manual workers.
The work is carried out using 200 hardware units.<\/p>\n

Contract with the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the construction of the 8. of the section of the S8 expressway (R\u00f3\u017ca \u2013 Wroc\u0142aw junction), with a\u00a0net value of PLN 689.2 million, was signed on\u00a05 October 2011. Budimex has 2 years and three months to\u00a0complete this investment. The works will be\u00a0completed on\u00a05 January 2014. <\/p>\n

\n As\u00a0part of the contract, Budimex will build a\u00a019.4-kilometre section of the S8 expressway and two road junctions \u2013 \u201cPabianice\u201d and \u201cRzg\u00f3w\u201d.<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

The scope of contract work also includes:<\/p>\n

<\/em>\u2013 construction of the \u201cGuzew\u201d Motorway Service Area with technical infrastructure,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of a\u00a0toll collection zone with technical infrastructure,
\u2013 <\/em> reconstruction approx. a\u00a0150-meter section of the provincial road 485 along with the construction of a\u00a0roundabout,
\u2013 <\/em>reconstruction approx. 1.4-kilometer section of national road No. 1,
\u2013 <\/em>reconstruction of county roads 3309E, 3303E, 2916E with a\u00a0total length of 1.4 km,
\u2013 <\/em>reconstruction of 4 municipal roads with a\u00a0total length of 2 km,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of sidewalks, exits, bus bays, parking lots for vehicles transporting hazardous materials,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of access roads with a\u00a0total length of 26.7 km and collector roads with a\u00a0total length of 3.4 km,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of slip roads at\u00a0the \u201cPabianice\u201d (2.3 km) and \u201cRzg\u00f3w\u201d (3.5 km) junctions,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of a\u00a0surface and deep drainage system,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of 10 viaducts, including three along the expressway, two over the expressway, one over the road
two in\u00a0the line of this road, one in\u00a0the line of a\u00a0municipal road and one over a\u00a0national road,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of three bridges over the Pabianka, Bychlewka and Dobrzynka rivers,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of a\u00a0footbridge over the expressway,
<\/em>\u2013 construction of a\u00a0utility passage along the S8 over the access road,
\u2013 <\/em>construction of 38 animal crossings and 71 culverts.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
