From 11 April, drivers have at their disposal the 16. a kilometre section of the S-8 expressway from the R\u00f3\u017ca junction to the Rzg\u00f3w junction in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Voivodeship.<\/p>\n

The section built by Budimex and completed ahead of schedule is 19.5 kilometres long. However, it will be possible to put the entire section into service after the completion of the construction of the A1 Stryk\u00f3w \u2013 Tuszyn motorway section.<\/p>\n

The S-8 expressway built by Budimex is part of the S-8 expressway Wielu\u0144 Junction \u2013 \u0141\u00f3d\u017a (A-1). It runs through the area of communes; Rzg\u00f3w, Tuszyn, Pabianice, Dobro\u0144 and D\u0142ut\u00f3w in the Pabianice and Eastern \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Districts. The eighth section connects to the A-1 motorway, thanks to which in the future those coming from the north will be able to turn to the S-8 expressway and reach Lower Silesia quickly and safely.<\/p>\n

The road has a surface made of concrete, which was supplied by Lafarge. The concrete road surface will ensure several decades of trouble-free operation.<\/p>\n

We are very pleased with the partnership with Budimex. \u2013 <\/em>said Bruno Roux, Managing Director of Lafarge in Poland. Cooperation with Budimex gave us the opportunity to provide an integrated offer from Lafarge, i.e. in addition to the supply of cement, aggregates and concrete, we also dealt with <\/em>technical, technological and logistic supervision over the production process. Concrete roads have a future in Poland due to the climate and geology, and it is promising that more and more of them are being built. This is a good trend, because concrete roads are safe, durable and cheap to use in the long run due to the low cost of their maintenance.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n Contract with the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the construction of the 8. of the section of the S8 expressway (R\u00f3\u017ca \u2013 Wroc\u0142aw junction), with a net value of PLN 689.2 million, was signed on 5 October 2011. The contractual deadline for the completion of the works is 5 January 2014. Budimex completed the works ahead of schedule, in December 2013.<\/em>\n <\/p>\n
