\n Consortium with Budimex to build power unit at Tur\u00f3w Power Plant<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

July 10, 2014 A consortium of companies: Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Europe GmbH (consortium leader with 55.38% shares), Budimex SA (consortium partner with 22.31% shares) and Tecnicas Reunidas SA (consortium partner with 22.31% shares) signed a contract with PGE G\u00f3rnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna SA with its registered office in Be\u0142chat\u00f3w for the construction of a new power unit at the Tur\u00f3w Power Plant.<\/p>\n

The contract covers the construction of a new power unit with a net electrical capacity of 450 MWe (megawatt of electrical capacity), including the installation of a flow-through boiler for supercritical steam parameters, a condensing turbine with a generator and a wet flue gas desulphurization system.<\/p>\n

The net value of the contract is PLN 3 billion 250 million, of which Budimex accounts for PLN 725 million net.<\/p>\n

The execution of the works will begin after the contracting authority issues an order to start the works. The consortium has 56 months to complete the work.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The scope of Budimex\u2019s work includes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • designing<\/li>\n
  • construction and assembly works along with the supply of steel structures,<\/li>\n
  • delivery and installation of the electrical part and installation of control and measurement equipment and automation,<\/li>\n
  • construction of a cooling system with the use of a cooling tower with a purified flue gas discharge system,<\/li>\n
  • installation of the ash removal and slag removal system,<\/li>\n
  • other supplies and works in the field of auxiliary farms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    After the design stage, disassembly, demolition and interchange works, Budimex will commence construction works, i.e.: excavations and foundations. The implementation of this contract will not affect this year\u2019s financial results of the company, which results from the specificity of the works planned for this year.<\/p>\n

    Budimex is interested in the implementation of further energy contracts. It closely analyzes planned investments and participates in about 10 tender procedures in the field of energy.
