\n On 18 December 2014, the Warsaw Stock Exchange announced the following: composition of the RESPECT Index. Budimex has been listed in the RESPECT Index since January 2011. This year, a record number of 24 companies was among the most responsible listed companies. The new composition of the index will be in force from 22 December 2014.<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

The RESPECT Index is one of the stock market indices that build the credibility of companies in the eyes of shareholders, potential investors and business partners. It is awarded to companies that apply good practices to the greatest extent in the field of information governance and investor relations, as well as in the area of ecological, social, employee and economic factors, including a modern approach to organization management.<\/p>\n

From the first publication on 19 November 2009 to December 2014 the return of the RESPECT Index was 70%.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on our recent contacts with global investors, I can say that there is a growing interest on their part in companies that conduct business responsibly. This is also confirmed by research conducted around the world. I am glad that the RESPECT Index is also attracting more and more attention from issuers. This year, three new companies joined it. I would like to congratulate all the companies that were included in the index for a transparent and responsible approach to running their business <\/em>\u2013 said Pawe\u0142 Tamborski, President of the WSE.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe verification shows that although a group of leaders can still be seen among the companies listed in the Index, more intensive efforts are currently being made by most of the companies that make up the Index. They actively and systemically adopt good practices in all ESG areas. This affects not only the way companies are perceived by their environment, but also the level of their organizational maturity \u2013 important for the effective implementation of their business strategies. This allows us to look with optimism at the future of the Index and its constituent entities<\/em> \u2013 said Jakub Bojanowski, partner at Deloitte.<\/p>\n

The RESPECT Index portfolio covers Polish and foreign companies on the WSE Main Market that operate in accordance with the best governance standards in corporate governance, information governance and investor relations, as well as taking into account environmental, social and economic (ESG) factors. It includes companies that have undergone verification by the WSE and the Association of Listed Companies in the above-mentioned areas, as well as an audit conducted by the project\u2019s partner, Deloitte since its first edition.<\/p>\n

According to the current formula, the survey of companies and the revision of the index composition is carried out once a year, in its second half. The index is composed of the largest listed companies from the WIG20, mWIG40 and sWIG80 indices.<\/p>\n

The RESPECT Index is the first index of responsible companies (SRI) in Central and Eastern Europe. The project was introduced by the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2009, when the first composition of the Index was announced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n
