On\u00a017 March 2015, the Olsztyn Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announced the selection of the bid of the consortium of Budimex (95 per cent, leader) and Ferrovial Agroman (5 per cent) for the construction of the S7 expressway on\u00a0the Mi\u0142om\u0142yn \u2013 Olsztynek section, the Ostr\u00f3da P\u00f3\u0142noc \u2013 Ostr\u00f3da Po\u0142udnie subsection along the S7 road, along with the construction of the Ostr\u00f3da bypass on\u00a0the national road No. 16. The offering has a\u00a0net value of PLN 1.072 billion.<\/p>\n

13 March this year The District Court in\u00a0Olsztyn upheld the ruling of the National Appeals Chamber concerning the abnormally low price proposed by\u00a0the consortium of Salini Polska and the Italian Salini Impregilo and Todini Costruzioni Generali, and dismissed the complaint of the Italian company Astaldi, which, according to\u00a0the contracting authority, presented a\u00a0bid inconsistent with the Terms of Reference. As\u00a0a\u00a0result, GDDKiA chose the offer of the consortium of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman.<\/p>\n

\u2013 We\u00a0are happy to\u00a0have chosen our offer. And since we\u00a0are building reliably and on\u00a0time, both the investor and the drivers will be\u00a0satisfied <\/em>\u2013 said Krzysztof Kozio\u0142, spokesman for Budimex SA.<\/p>\n

The scope of work includes the construction of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • 9.7-kilometre section of the expressway (beginning before Ostr\u00f3da, ending in\u00a0G\u00f3rka, road with two lanes, each dual carriageway);<\/li>\n
  • Ostr\u00f3da bypass \u2013 main road for accelerated traffic, 8.7 km long, in\u00a0the line of national road No. 16 (beginning of the bypass in\u00a0Orn\u00f3w, at\u00a0the intersection with national road No. 15, end in\u00a0the area of the Ostr\u00f3da Po\u0142udnie junction, road with two lanes, each dual carriageway);<\/li>\n
  • two road junctions:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u2013 Ostr\u00f3da P\u00f3\u0142noc \u2013 at\u00a0the intersection with the provincial road No. 530 Ostr\u00f3da \u2013 \u0141ukta \u2013 Dobre Miasto (the junction will provide all turning relations);<\/p>\n

    \u2013 Ostr\u00f3da Po\u0142udnie \u2013 at\u00a0the intersection with the planned Ostr\u00f3da bypass (national road No. 16) and the existing national road No. 7\/16 in\u00a0G\u00f3rka, in\u00a0the area of the existing junction at\u00a0the intersection of these two roads;<\/p>\n

      \n
    • economic, service and collective roads;<\/li>\n
    • 15 engineering structures, including four of a\u00a0special nature:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u2013 a\u00a0combined bridge over Lake Pauze\u0144skie in\u00a0the line of the S-7 road, 343 m long, three-span,<\/p>\n

      \u2013 bridge \u2013 flyover over the Drw\u0119ca River, passing through the nature reserve and over the railway line (in\u00a0the line of the S-7 road), 561 m long, nine-span,<\/p>\n

      \u2013 viaduct at\u00a0the intersection of roads No. 7, 16 and 15 located at\u00a0the Ostr\u00f3da Po\u0142udnie junction, 80 m long,<\/p>\n

      \u2013 extradosed viaduct\/bridge in\u00a0the line of the S-16 road, four-span, with a\u00a0total span length of 677 m,<\/p>\n

      \u2013 three monolithic retaining walls with a\u00a0height of up to\u00a06 m.<\/p>\n

        \n
      • environmental protection equipment, rainwater drainage, lighting;<\/li>\n
      • reconstruction of conflicting technical infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Budimex will have 20 months to\u00a0complete the investment (excluding winter periods from 15 December to\u00a015 March). This is the company\u2019s second contract for the construction of the S7 expressway. In\u00a0November last year, Budimex signed a\u00a0contract for the construction of a\u00a09.4 km section of this road from Mi\u0142om\u0142yn to\u00a0Ostr\u00f3da.<\/p>\n

        The S7 expressway is of great importance for Polish. Ultimately, it will connect the northern regions of the country with the southern ones, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the agglomerations of Gda\u0144sk, Warsaw, Kielce and Krak\u00f3w.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
