Works on\u00a0the construction of the railway station in\u00a0Bydgoszcz are proceeding according to\u00a0plan. After less than 11 months from signing the contract, the level of work progress reaches 60 percent. The contractor for the investment, worth PLN 134 million net, is a\u00a0consortium of Budimex (leader, 90 percent of shares) and the Bydgoszcz-based company Lech. <\/p>\n

In\u00a0the place of the demolished station, a\u00a0modern, five-storey building (one underground storey) with a\u00a0glass fa\u00e7ade is being built. The building is already ready in\u00a0the raw state, and finishing, installation and fa\u00e7ade works are currently being carried out. The opening of the station to\u00a0the extent enabling passenger service is planned for August this year, and the remaining finishing works inside the building will be\u00a0completed in\u00a0November 2015.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0June this year. The renovation and revitalization of the historic island station located between the platforms will be\u00a0completed 3. and 4. This four-storey building was built in\u00a0the mid-nineteenth century. Currently, finishing and fa\u00e7ade works are underway. The renovated island station will regain its characteristic gable roof with clock turrets. The investor plans to\u00a0make the facility available to\u00a0travelers in\u00a0the second half of July.<\/p>\n

Platforms 2, 4a and 4 with adjacent tracks have already been renovated. Construction works on\u00a0all platforms will be\u00a0completed in\u00a0November this year. The following platforms remain to\u00a0be\u00a0renovated: 3a, which will be\u00a0completed in\u00a0mid-June, 3, where the renovation will last until the end of July, 1, where the works will last until the end of August, and platform 5, on\u00a0which the works will be\u00a0completed on\u00a0November 20.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0platforms 1, 2 and 3, buildings will be\u00a0demolished. Demolition works on\u00a0the platforms will last until mid-October.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0passenger tunnel is ready, in\u00a0which the structure has been reinforced and the cladding panels have been replaced. The new station in\u00a0Bydgoszcz with the accompanying infrastructure will be\u00a0ready in\u00a0November 2015.<\/p>\n

\n The contract with PKP SA for the construction of the first stage of the Integrated Communication Center in\u00a0Bydgoszcz was signed on\u00a028 May 2014. <\/em>\n <\/p>\n

\n The scope of work includes:<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

  • \n demolition of conflicting buildings,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n reconstruction of two historic buildings,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n construction of a\u00a0four-storey building for commercial and service, office and passenger purposes,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
