On\u00a022 June 2015, on\u00a0a\u00a07-kilometre section of the A2 motorway, from the junction in\u00a0Konotopa near Warsaw to\u00a0Pruszk\u00f3w, a\u00a0warranty replacement of acoustic screen panels manufactured and delivered by\u00a0Metalesa will begin.<\/p>\n

The reason for the replacement is corrosion centers appearing on\u00a0the panels. Defective screen panels will be\u00a0replaced with new ones from another manufacturer.<\/p>\n

The panels will be\u00a0replaced successively, and the work will be\u00a0carried out on\u00a0approx. 500-meter sections. First, the panels along the roadway of the A2 motorway in\u00a0the direction of Warsaw will be\u00a0replaced. The beginning of works is in\u00a0the area of the Pruszk\u00f3w junction.<\/p>\n

For safety reasons, the replacement of panels is associated with the need to\u00a0periodically shut down one lane of the road. The contractor will organize the works in\u00a0such a\u00a0way as\u00a0to\u00a0minimize the nuisance for drivers. To\u00a0this end, a\u00a0work schedule has been developed that takes into account the traffic volume on\u00a0this section of the motorway, providing for works outside rush hours, including at\u00a0night.<\/p>\n

The contractor will start works with those panels that can be\u00a0replaced without occupying the main roadway \u2013 the works will be\u00a0carried out from outside the road lane or\u00a0from the emergency lane. Works on\u00a0the roadway of the motorway in\u00a0the direction of Warsaw will be\u00a0carried out from Monday to\u00a0Thursday except from 5.00 a.m. to\u00a09.00 a.m., and on\u00a0Fridays except from 5.00 a.m. to\u00a010.00 a.m. On\u00a0Saturdays, no\u00a0breaks in\u00a0work are planned, while on\u00a0each Sunday the break in\u00a0work will last from 2.00 p.m. to\u00a07.00 p.m.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0addition, if there is a\u00a0significant slowdown in\u00a0traffic on\u00a0the motorway during the works, the contractor will stop them in\u00a0order to\u00a0improve the passage.<\/p>\n
