The Municipal Waste Disposal Plant in\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok is an investment thanks to\u00a0which from over 90 to\u00a0approx. 12 per cent. the amount of municipal waste that ends up in\u00a0the municipal landfill in\u00a0nearby Hryniewicze will decrease. Annually, the new incineration plant will dispose of approx. 120 thousand tons of waste. In\u00a0addition, electricity (8.6 MWe) and heat (17.5 MWc) will be\u00a0generated from waste incineration.<\/p>\n

The contract covering the design and construction of the incineration plant, worth PLN 332.9 million net, is being executed by\u00a0Budimex (leader, 50.4% shares) in\u00a0a\u00a0consortium with Keppel Seghers Belgium N.V and Cespa Compania Espanola de\u00a0Servicios Publicos Auxiliares SA. The investor is Przedsi\u0119biorstwo Us\u0142ugowo-Handlowo-Produkcyjne \u201cLECH\u201d.<\/p>\n

Currently, finishing works and commissioning are underway at\u00a0the Bia\u0142ystok incineration plant. Individual devices are commissioned and checked. Pressure tests of the pipelines are carried out and the installation is prepared for steam supply. The boiler is being burned out.<\/p>\n

\n The contract for the design and construction of the incineration plant was signed on\u00a031 August 2012. On\u00a011 September 2013, the City Hall in\u00a0Bia\u0142ystok issued a\u00a0building permit for the Municipal Waste Disposal Plant. The completion date of the works is scheduled for the end of December 2015.<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

\n The scope of construction works includes land development (administrative and office building, roads, parking lots, squares, networks, fences) and the construction of one complete municipal waste thermal treatment line, which consists of:<\/em>\n <\/p>\n

    \n
  • \n the segment of acceptance and temporary storage of delivered municipal waste,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n segments of thermal waste treatment through incineration and energy recovery from incinerated waste,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n the segment of recovered energy processing and discharge to\u00a0the grid in\u00a0the form of heat and electricity,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n flue gas treatment segment,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n slag processing segment with recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals,<\/em>\n <\/li>\n
  • \n segment for stabilization and solidification of ashes and solid residues from flue gas treatment.<\/em>\n <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Budimex is interested in\u00a0the implementation of further energy contracts. The company participates in\u00a0tender procedures for the construction of flue gas treatment installations (for the Bia\u0142ystok CHP Plant, the Lower Odra \u2013 Pomorzan CHP Plant and the Nowa CHP Plant), incineration plants (in\u00a0Rzesz\u00f3w and Vilnius) and CCGT units (in\u00a0the \u017bera\u0144 CHP Plant, the \u0141agisza Power Plant in\u00a0B\u0119dzin and Grudzi\u0105dz). Budimex is also participating in\u00a0a\u00a0tender for the supply of a\u00a0turbine for PKN Orlen in\u00a0P\u0142ock.<\/p>\n
