On\u00a029 September 2015, Budimex signed a\u00a0contract with the Bia\u0142ystok Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the design and construction of the Suwa\u0142ki bypass. The contract has a\u00a0net value of PLN 243.5 million. The Suwa\u0142ki bypass will be\u00a0connected to\u00a0the August\u00f3w bypass, which was put into service last year, which was also built by\u00a0Budimex. The new road will be\u00a012.8 km long and will have the standard of a\u00a0dual carriageway expressway (S61, two carriageways with two lanes each). The bypass will bypass the city from the west and north.
The scope of work also includes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • construction of missing slip roads at\u00a0the Suwa\u0142ki Po\u0142udnie junction,<\/li>\n
  • construction of the Suwa\u0142ki West junction along with the construction and expansion of transverse roads,<\/li>\n
  • construction of the slip road of the Suwa\u0142ki P\u00f3\u0142noc junction,<\/li>\n
  • expansion of existing roads and reconstruction of existing communication routes crossing the S61 road under construction,<\/li>\n
  • construction of engineering structures along the expressway and viaducts along the reconstructed transverse roads and railway line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
