Budimex has started cooperation with the Inland Navigation Technical School in\u00a0Wroc\u0142aw. The partnership is to\u00a0support the development of a\u00a0new specialization \u2013 water engineering technicians \u2013 by\u00a0combining education with practical preparation for work in\u00a0the construction industry. This is another project of the company, which is to\u00a0prepare young people to\u00a0work in\u00a0demanding specializations in\u00a0the construction industry.<\/strong><\/p>

The partnership, implemented jointly with the Regional Water Management Board in\u00a0Wroc\u0142aw PGW Wody Polskie and the PGW Wody Polskie Catchment Management Board in\u00a0Wroc\u0142aw, is to\u00a0support a\u00a0modern model of vocational education \u2013 open to\u00a0the needs of employers and based on\u00a0the practical dimension of learning. The aim of the agreement is to\u00a0better link vocational education with the real needs of the labour market and to\u00a0support a\u00a0new course \u2013 water engineering technology, which is to\u00a0enter the educational offer of the Wroc\u0142aw technical school from September.<\/p>

For students, this means access to\u00a0activities that will allow them to\u00a0get to\u00a0know the specifics of the profession better and see how the knowledge acquired at\u00a0school translates into real competencies needed on\u00a0the market. As\u00a0part of the cooperation, lectures, seminars, educational events and presence during local initiatives promoting the new direction m.in are planned. Budimex will be\u00a0involved in\u00a0the project through the participation of its engineers and specialists, who will share their practical knowledge in\u00a0the field of hydraulic engineering and drainage with students.<\/p>

” For us, cooperation with schools is an investment in\u00a0the future of the industry. We\u00a0want to\u00a0show young people that construction today offers many opportunities for development, and the combination of education and practice best prepares them to\u00a0enter the labor market. On\u00a0the one hand, it helps them consciously plan their professional path, and on\u00a0the other hand \u2013 it builds interest in\u00a0specializations that will be\u00a0important for the construction market in\u00a0the coming years. This is important not only from the perspective of students, but also from the perspective of the entire industry, which is increasingly facing the need to\u00a0acquire new, well-prepared staff. As\u00a0a\u00a0company implementing complex hydrotechnical and infrastructure projects, we\u00a0bring to\u00a0this cooperation practical knowledge about the specifics of work in\u00a0the industry, the realities of construction and the competencies needed on\u00a0the market<\/em> ,” says Damian Nowakowski, Regional Director at\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/p>

Budimex has experience in\u00a0the implementation of large-scale hydrotechnical and port investments. In\u00a0recent years, the company has completed a\u00a0significant part of the construction works on\u00a0the construction of the T3 Baltic Hub terminal in\u00a0Gda\u0144sk, including the construction of a\u00a0717-meter deep-water quay and a\u00a036-hectare square, as\u00a0well as\u00a0participated in\u00a0the construction of the Racib\u00f3rz Dolny reservoir \u2013 the largest hydrotechnical investment in\u00a0Poland. Currently, Budimex is also carrying out port and flood protection projects, such as\u00a0the construction of protective breakwaters in\u00a0the Port of Gdynia, the expansion of the Coal Quay in\u00a0the Port of Gdansk and the construction of a\u00a0dry flood polder in\u00a0Kut\u0159\u00edn in\u00a0the Czech Republic.<\/p>

The cooperation with the Wroc\u0142aw technical school is part of Budimex’s broader involvement in\u00a0the development of Polish education and building future staff for the construction industry. This is the 54th school in\u00a0Poland with which the company has entered into a\u00a0strategic partnership. Budimex also cooperates with 27 universities across the country, consistently combining education with practical preparation of young people to\u00a0enter the labour market. Thanks to\u00a0Budimex’s educational and partner programmes, over 3,000 pupils and students have already gained their first professional experience in\u00a0the construction industry.<\/p><\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section> \n
