Educational programmes and cooperation with technical schools in\u00a0Poland are consistently developed by\u00a0Budimex. One of the examples of these activities is the launch of the first class of patronage with a\u00a0railway profile in\u00a0the School Complex No. 2 in\u00a0Koluszki. It is a\u00a0class educating in\u00a0the profession of electric power technician of rail transport, preparing students to\u00a0work in\u00a0the dynamically developing sector of railway and power infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>

Koluszki is an important railway junction and an important transfer point in\u00a0central Poland. The city provides convenient connections with, among m.in, Warsaw, \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Cz\u0119stochowa and Radom, which is why the launch of a\u00a0patronage class here is of particular importance. The substantive support for this initiative is provided by\u00a0the Electric Power Construction Division of Budimex SA, which is dynamically developing its activities in\u00a0the area of railway power engineering and high and highest voltages, implementing contracts throughout Poland including, m.in the reconstruction, construction and modernization of railway and tram overhead contact lines, medium voltage power engineering, as\u00a0well as\u00a0power stations and transmission lines of high and highest voltages.<\/p>

The new classroom is an ideal place for young people interested in\u00a0modern railways, technology and practical professional experience. The field of study focuses on\u00a0issues related to\u00a0railway power engineering, railway and tram overhead contact line, power supply systems, as\u00a0well as\u00a0the implementation and supervision of infrastructure investments. The curriculum has been developed in\u00a0cooperation with Budimex experts and responds to\u00a0the real needs of the labour market. Students of the patronage class will gain access to\u00a0a\u00a0number of benefits supporting professional development. The program includes, among m.in, motivational scholarships, awards for academic achievements, as\u00a0well as\u00a0equipping with the necessary educational materials. Budimex will also provide the opportunity to\u00a0complete internships as\u00a0part of the curriculum, and adult students will also provide paid summer internships.<\/p>

Education in\u00a0the railway class includes both theoretical knowledge and practical preparation for the profession. Students will have the opportunity to\u00a0participate in\u00a0classes conducted by\u00a0industry specialists, visits to\u00a0construction sites and professional internships carried out on\u00a0infrastructure projects. Thanks to\u00a0the school’s cooperation with Budimex, students will gain competences to\u00a0work on\u00a0the construction and modernization of railway lines, stations and power supply systems. A\u00a0key element of the program is also the career path after completing education. Graduates of the patronage class will be\u00a0given the opportunity to\u00a0work at\u00a0Budimex.<\/p>

” We want to\u00a0build a\u00a0strong team of experts and strengthen Budimex’s position as\u00a0one of the leading power contractors in\u00a0Poland. The growing portfolio of contracts in\u00a0the railway, tram, DSO and PSE areas means that we\u00a0are constantly in\u00a0need of new specialists. The patronage class in\u00a0Koluszki is also an opportunity for us to\u00a0support young people in\u00a0acquiring specific competencies and consciously entering the labour market in\u00a0an industry with high development potential<\/em> ,” emphasizes Piotr Deredas, Director of the Power Engineering Division at\u00a0Budimex SA.<\/strong><\/p>

The patronage class in\u00a0Koluszki is the first initiative of this type implemented by\u00a0Budimex. Budimex consistently supports the strengthening of professional competences of the young generation by\u00a0engaging in\u00a0projects for technical education. So far, the company has signed 27 cooperation agreements with universities and 54 strategic partnerships with schools throughout Poland. At\u00a0the same time, Budimex cooperates with universities and technical universities, offering internships, internships and participation in\u00a0educational and research and development projects.<\/p>
