Budimex has obtained a decision on the permit for the implementation of a road investment (ZRID) for section No. 1 of the S10 Szczecin \u2013 Pi\u0142a expressway, between the “Szczecin Kijewo” and “Szczecin Zdunowo” junctions. This opens the way to the start of construction works on another section of one of the most important road investments currently being carried out in north-western Poland.<\/strong><\/p>

The new section of the S10 will be 4.4 km long and will bypass the P\u0142onia housing estate in Szczecin from the north. The investment will relieve the existing road system running through the urbanized part of the city, where there are currently many intersections and pedestrian crossings. The route will connect the A6 motorway with the further course of the S10 expressway in the direction of Pi\u0142a and Warsaw.<\/p>

The handover of the construction site is planned for 8 June 2026, and the first preparatory works will begin in mid-June. In the initial stage, Budimex will carry out, among m.in, sapper works, clearing the area and implement temporary traffic organisation. The investment is expected to be completed in 23 months, excluding winter periods, and the completion of the works is planned for the fourth quarter of 2028.<\/p>

” We are ready to start work in the field and smoothly transition to the implementation stage. This is an important section for the entire transport system of Szczecin, which will allow transit traffic to move away from built-up areas and significantly improve travel safety<\/em> ,” says Rados\u0142aw Kozi\u0144ski, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.<\/strong><\/p>

As part of the investment, two road junctions will be built \u2013 Szczecin P\u0142onia and Szczecin Zdunowo. The project also includes the construction of a bridge over the P\u0142onia River serving as an animal crossing, two upper animal crossings, road viaducts and a pedestrian and cyclist crossing under the expressway in the area of the Youth Sociotherapy Centre.<\/p>

The S10 expressway will be one of the key transport links in Poland. Ultimately, it will connect Szczecin with the Warsaw agglomeration, running through Pi\u0142a, Bydgoszcz and Toru\u0144. The investment will create an alternative transport corridor to the A2 motorway and will significantly improve the communication of West Pomerania with the central part of the country.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section> \n
