Budimex has won another contract as part of the extension of the I\/43 road, connecting Brno via <\/span>Svitavy<\/span> and <\/span>Lan\u0161kroun<\/span> with the Polish border.  Near the municipality of <\/span>Z\u00e1vist<\/span> in the Blansko district<\/span>, the <\/span>construction company<\/span> will widen a section of almost one kilometre, adding a lane of<\/span>688 meters long, will build a new engineering facility over the local road and improve pedestrian and cyclist roads in the municipality<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>. The project will eliminate the dangerous section and improve both traffic flow and road safety.  Budimex won the tender, submitting a bid of CZK 143.7 million excluding VAT, i.e. about seven percent below the estimated value of the works. <\/span><\/p>

Budimex has signed a contract with the Czech Road and Motorway Authority (\u0158SD) for the construction of a slow lane on the I\/43 road near the town of <\/span>Z\u00e1vist<\/span> in the Blansko<\/span> district in the Czech Republic<\/span>.  The project is located near the reconstruction of the I\/43 road near <\/span>\u010cern\u00e1<\/span> Hora \u2013 a contract that Budimex also won a few days ago<\/span><\/span><\/div>. \u200e <\/span><\/p>

<\/span>” <\/span><\/span>The acquisition of another, neighbouring contract on the I\/43 route confirms our ability to consistently deliver high-quality, competitive solutions on the Czech market<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/div>. The construction of two adjacent sections will also enable us to coordinate activities more efficiently at the stage of preparation and implementation of the investment, which will translate into greater efficiency of the works <\/span>carried out \u2013 says Cezary \u0141ysenko, Member of the Management Board of Budime<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Budimex won the tender, submitting a bid of CZK 143.7 million excluding VAT, i.e. about seven percent below the estimated value of the works.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>

Slow lane and safer connections in the<\/span><\/span> <\/span>municipality<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

The section of the I\/43 road to be modernized is about 909 meters long.  The most serious traffic problem is the existing driveway outside <\/span> the municipality of Z\u00e1vist<\/span>, where the slope of the road reaches up to 7.15%.  The lane for slow vehicles<\/span> in the direction <\/span> of Svitava<\/span> will be 688 meters long and will start about 150 meters behind the new bridge.  The project will also include the construction of a retaining wall with a length of 282 meters, which will help minimize the impact of the investment on the surrounding areas.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>

Access to the Z\u00e1vist<\/span><\/span> commune will also undergo significant changes.  The existing intersection between the local road and the I\/43 road will be removed.  It will be replaced by a two-level crossing, including a new facility on the I\/43 road about 12 meters long.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>

– <\/span><\/span>The project will not only improve the flow of traffic on the main route, but also allow for the creation of a safe connection between the two parts of <\/span>Z\u00e1vist<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/div>. The new facility will eliminate the problematic intersection and allow local residents to move between the two parts of the municipality without directly crossing the I\/43 road. In addition to the construction of the facility,  one of the most demanding aspects of the contract will be the organization of the works while keeping the road open to traffic <\/span>,”  adds<\/span> Petr Hran\u010d\u00edk, Regional Director of Budime<\/span>KS<\/span>in the Czech Republic.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The contractor will also move the bus stop located on the right side of the road towards <\/span>Svitava<\/span> further north and connect it with the municipality with a new pavement.  The project also includes the construction of a bicycle path along the I\/43 road, the modernization of the drainage system and the construction of new forest roads<\/span><\/span><\/div>. \u200e <\/span><\/p>

Budimex strengthens its position on the<\/span><\/span> <\/span>Czech market<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

In addition to two contracts for the extension of the I\/43 road, Budimex is currently responsible for the construction of a 7.6-kilometre section of the D35 motorway between <\/span>D\u017eb\u00e1nov<\/span> and <\/span>Litomy\u0161l<\/span>, as well as a dry flood reservoir on the <\/span>Krounka<\/span> River in <\/span>Kut\u0159\u00edn<\/span> in <\/span> the Chrudim<\/span> district.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>
