The works carried out by Budimex in E\u0142k are part of the construction of the international railway line Rail Baltica. As part of the contract worth nearly PLN 587 million, Budimex will reconstruct tracks with a total length of 38.3 km, including the subgrade, and will build 118 turnouts. Part of the task is also the construction of 5 platforms (including 2 options); A total of 2600 linear meters of edge (400 meters as an option) adapted to the needs of the disabled together with full infrastructure and reconstruction of the overhead contact line and the network and lines with railway power equipment, as well as sanitary infrastructure, rainwater drainage and teletechnical networks. A signal box building was also built with new equipment at the E\u0142k station. In addition, according to the contract, the construction of 4 railway viaducts, a road viaduct and a railway bridge is planned.<\/p>\n

\nAt the railway station in E\u0142k, which is being modernised by Budimex, the first 3D printed stairs in Poland were built. The concrete structure mounted on the slope, weighing nearly two tons, was built in the Netherlands and will serve railway employees.
