We are implementing a project (EPC) for the construction of a CHP plant in Vilnius, generating energy from waste incineration. The plant will be equipped with a waste-fired boiler (municipal and RDF) powering an 18.8 MWe turbine. We have delivered and will launch a 72.7 MWe turbine, powered by two biomass-fired boilers. We will build the waste boiler in a consortium with Steinmueller Babcock Environment GmbH and UAB Kauno Dujotiekio Statyba. According to the contract, a complete plant for the production of energy from waste incineration will be built, including auxiliary equipment and a turbine island along with power evacuation in a biomass-fired plant. The electrical capacity of the new CHP plant is approx. 91.5 MWe and 227 MWt. The CHP plant has been designed taking into account the heat demand of the Lithuanian capital and will be able to meet 20% of the heat demand on the coldest days and about 40% of all the heat that Vilnius needs throughout the year. Heat energy from the cogeneration unit under construction will be supplied to the municipal heating network, and the generated electricity will be supplied to the 110 kV network of the transmission network operator.<\/p>\n
