Budimex is responsible for m.in under the contract. for the reconstruction of the Port of Gdynia railway station together with the pre-port areas and accompanying infrastructure, and the improvement of the related railway lines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAs part of the entire investment, 115 km of tracks will be\u00a0modernized and access roads to\u00a0the port gates will be\u00a0electrified. 13 km of roads, a\u00a0railway bridge and 29 rail-road crossings will be\u00a0rebuilt. In\u00a0addition, communication will be\u00a0facilitated by\u00a0two new railway viaducts. The contract also includes the construction of the Local Control Centre building, two railway signal boxes, the PKP Cargo office building and the renovation of three existing signal boxes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe reconstruction of the Port of Gdynia railway junction is an extremely important infrastructure investment for the city, the region and the entire national transport. After the completion of the construction, the number of trains handled will increase and at\u00a0the same time the duration of cargo handling will be\u00a0shortened. In\u00a0addition, longer, 740-metre trains transporting larger quantities of goods will be\u00a0able to\u00a0run on\u00a0Gdynia\u2019s tracks.
