Archicom has selected a general contractor for the Wroclaw project. Budimex will develop the Południk 17 project
In recent days, Archicom has finalized the bidding process to select a general contractor for its investment. Budimex, Poland’s largest construction company, will carry out construction work on Wroclaw’s Południk 17 estate as the developer’s new partner. The contract is for a record amount of up to PLN 140 million.
On April 17 this year, the Archicom Group entity signed a contract with Budimex, which crowned the complex tender. The value of the contract is approx. PLN 140 million, and thus is the record value of remuneration for the developer’s subcontractor to date. As part of the process, a general contractor was selected to carry out the construction of two residential buildings with built-in garages for Archicom, as well as develop the land around the Południk 17 project in Wroclaw.
– The competencies we have built at Archicom today allow us to handle complex real estate projects on our own. We use internal resources for this purpose, but we are also happy to cooperate with trusted external entities. In recent days, we have selected a general contractor for one of our Wroclaw projects through a tender. The Południk 17 estate will be carried out for us by the WSE-listed Budimex, the largest construction company in Poland. – says Gregory Czyzewski, Director of the Tenders and Contracts at Archicom.
– This contract represents another step in the implementation of the strategy we have set and are diligently following to effectively and dynamically develop the company with a focus on quality, timeliness and predictability. So we are not slowing down, and we are convinced that joint action by such large entities as Archicom and Budimex will only bring benefits to both companies,” says Andrzej Schmalenberg, director of the Southern Division of General Construction at Budimex SA.
The provisions of the contract are in line with market standards for construction contracts, especially in terms of guarantees, warranties.
The newly signed agreement on April 17, 2024 confirms Archicom’s growth strategy, with a short-term goal of selling 3,000 units per year and a medium-term goal of 4,000 units. This is another step in the realization of the goals set by Archicom, and confirms large-scale operations with the best and largest companies in the market.
