Budimex continues the „Parent Zone. Budimex for Children” addressed to children’s wards in Polish hospitals. 27 May this year another unique space for the youngest patients of the Pediatric Hospital in Bielsko-Biała was opened. It is the 43. a space for parents in paediatric wards in Poland, created from scratch and designed to create a place where children and their parents can break away from the hospital reality.
On Monday, 27 May, Budimex officially handed over a new part of the Paediatric Hospital in Bielsko-Biała as part of the „Parent Zone. Budimex for Children”. Over the past 10 years, Budimex’s nationwide social programme has already created 43 spaces in children’s wards in Polish hospitals, intended for children and their parents. Thanks to this space, the youngest patients in the Silesian Voivodeship will be able to break away from thoughts about the disease for a moment and spend their free time in an interesting way. It is estimated that the Parent Zone of the hospital in Bielsko-Biała will be used by about 8 thousand per year. hospitalized children.
Budimex, thanks to the support of its volunteers, has completely changed the appearance of the existing common room, kitchen and bathroom at the Bielsko-Biała Paediatric Hospital. The new playroom has been adapted to patients of all ages. The youngest children have been given a perfect space to play, while older children can enjoy learning and their creativity. The room has been complemented with comfortable sofas and armchairs, and the bathroom and kitchen have undergone thorough functional changes so that they can serve both parents and children.
„It is a great pleasure and honour for me that we were able to commission a new Parent Zone in cooperation with the hospital. This is the 43rd implementation under our social program and the third in this part of Polish. Previously, Budimex had completed similar spaces in hospitals in Chorzów and Racibórz. The Pediatric Hospital where we are located is the largest medical facility for children in the region, so we know how important it was to create a friendly space for children and parents in this place.” – says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA, Director of the Human Resources Management Division.

On behalf of the hosts, Katarzyna Czauderna – Director of the hospital took part in the event. The main contractor and sponsor of the project, Budimex SA, was represented by Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA and Wojciech Głuc, Director of the Railway Construction Region of Budimex SA. The event was also attended by representatives of the county government, local entities and organizations.
