Budimex S.A. wins tenders for key sections of the S10 Szczecin – Piła road
Budimex’s bids for 5 key sections of the S10 Szczecin – Piła expressway were considered the most advantageous by the contracting authority: the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways , Szczecin Branch. The total length of these sections will be 74 kilometres, which is over 70% of the length of the new expressway from Stargard Szczeciński to Piła. The investment will be implemented in the Design and Build formula.
Over 100 km of new expressway
The S10 will be a dual carriageway expressway with two lanes in each direction. The decision on environmental conditions issued in July last year is final and determined the route of the route. The new S10 expressway will bypass the towns through which the current DK10 runs, including Suchań, Recz, Kalisz Pomorski and Mirosławiec. The new route will connect with the already existing Wałcz bypass, and then the S10 will run south of the existing DK10. At the Piła Północ junction – the future connection of the S10 and S11 – the Stargard – Piła section will end. The construction of eleven road junctions is planned along the route. Five pairs of Motorway Service Areas and two Road Maintenance Circuits will also be built.
From Szczecin to Toruń in 2023
The S10 road, approx. 410 km, will connect Szczecin via Piła, Bydgoszcz and Toruń with the Warsaw agglomeration. The implementation of all missing sections is included in the Government Programme for the Construction of National Roads until 2030. It will be a direct connection between the regions of Western Pomerania, the north of Wielkopolska, Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Mazovia. Thanks to this road, an alternative transport route will be created north of the A2 motorway.
