As part of the contract, tracks 1 and 2 were rebuilt on the section from Pilawa to Dęblin. The scope of work included the modernization of 120 km of tracks with subgrade and drainage, reconstruction and construction of new infrastructure on 25 platforms adapted to the needs of people with disabilities at the following stations: Garwolin, Łaskarzew Towarowy, Sobolew, Życzyn and Dęblin, and the construction of 106 new turnouts. A comprehensive reconstruction of the overhead contact line and the network of railway power equipment was also carried out. The modernization additionally included 17 level crossings and the construction of 53 engineering structures. A three-span steel railway bridge with a length of 169.6 m was built at the Dęblin station.
