As part of the agreement, in a consortium led by Budimex, the technical infrastructure of the m.in station was designed, modernised and built. new turnouts and overhead contact line, as well as new computer traffic control devices. The scope of work included m.in. Works related to the construction of a new track surface with a subgrade and drainage system, demolition of the existing and construction of a new overhead contact line with a power supply system and construction of 12 new, very modern turnouts with a movable nose of the crossing, used on high-speed lines. In addition, the contract included the construction of a control room and the installation of a video monitoring system. After the modernization, the facility was adapted to carry out train traffic at a speed of over 200 km/h.
