Budimex has obtained a decision on the permit for the implementation of a road investment, i.e. ZRID, for the scope of the Western Bypass of Zielona Góra implemented by the company. The decision was issued by the Lubuskie Voivodeship Office with an immediate enforceability clause, four months before the deadline specified in the agreement with the investor. Obtaining it opens the way to the start of construction works on one of the key road projects in the region.
The scope covered by the ZRID decision includes the first two sections of the investment: the so-called Przylep bypass – from the newly designed roundabout along Trasy Północnej Street to the new roundabout in Przylep – and the construction of a roundabout in Przylep with accompanying infrastructure. In total, about 4 km of a new, single-carriageway, two-way road with exits, access roads and two large roundabout-type intersections will be built under the contract.
The investment is multi-disciplinary and also includes the construction of a pedestrian and bicycle route along the entire length of the route, road lighting, a technological canal, a drainage system, water and sewage infrastructure, culverts, retention tanks, as well as the reconstruction of gas and electricity networks. As part of the task, four engineering structures will also be built, including a nearly 200-meter pedestrian and bicycle bridge with ramps.

The Western Bypass of Zielona Góra is an investment of great importance for the region’s residents, it will improve traffic flow, increase safety and create a modern infrastructure that meets the needs of the developing city ,” says Michał Wroński, Contract Manager at Budimex SA.
The construction of the Western Bypass of Zielona Góra will relieve the city’s transport system, divert transit traffic from the provincial road No. 280 and improve the safety and transport accessibility of the region. The project also includes solutions supporting environmental protection and the development of pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
The contract for the implementation of the investment was signed in July 2024 between the City of Zielona Góra and Budimex SA. The contract is scheduled to end in April 2028.
