The company, which is part of the Budimex Group, has made 27 electric car charging stations available to the residents of Bydgoszcz. Further bollards with the logo of the construction market leader will soon be launched in Poznań and Szczecin, and then in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

The stations made available in Bydgoszcz by Budimex Mobility are Emiter devices. The points are adapted to charge one to two vehicles, which gives a total of 54 new, publicly available sockets in the city.

The power of each station is 22 kW.

After being taken over by Budimex Mobility in February this year, the points gained a new visual identity. The devices have been configured and minor technical defects have been eliminated. The company carried out the full formal process related to the approval of the equipment for use and concluded electricity purchase agreements with the energy company.

Providing drivers with the first chargers with the Budimex Mobility logo is a great reason for us to be happy. We hope that the development of the city network with new points will improve the comfort of Bydgoszcz drivers and convince more people to choose electric vehicles said Jakub Długoszek, Member of the Management Board of Budimex Mobility. At Budimex Mobility, we have been participating in the development of the domestic electromobility market for over a year. We are part of the Group with strong experience in the area of general contracting as well as servicing and maintaining infrastructure. We also cooperate with Elocity as part of the technological service of the points. As a result, our offer is comprehensive, and we are ready to support domestic low-emission transport on a large scale,” added Jakub Długoszek.

Budimex Mobility bollards are integrated with the Elocity system. Through the mobile app, users can register, complete the full charging process, and pay for the service. The points are also adapted for use by people using accounts and RFID cards of other operators based on roaming.

The new charging stations are available in the following districts: Śródmieście, Piaski, Opławiec, Myślęcinek, Osiedle Leśne, Skrzetusko, Fordon, Kapuściska, Glinki, Szwederowo, Górzyskowo, Błonie, Osowa Górna, Czyżkówko.

Bydgoszcz is the beginning of our activities. We are currently working on the development of further charging stations in other Polish cities. Within 6 months, we would like to launch a total of  220  points. At the same time, we are constantly looking for new investments with which we could expand our portfolio emphasizes Jakub Długoszek. “Building a clean and green future for future generations is the goal set by the entire Budimex Group. Behind the ambitious business plan are specific values that we will successively implement as a responsible organization adds Member of the Management Board of Budimex Mobility.

The infrastructure was included in the company’s resources as a result of the purchase agreement concluded with Enea Operator. As part of the transaction, Budimex Mobility acquired 31 stations in Bydgoszcz (4 are under construction), 14 stations in Gorzów Wielkopolski, 31 in Poznań and 36 in Szczecin. The scope of work carried out in other locations is similar to that carried out by Budimex Mobility in one of the capitals of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. The formal and technical process related to the preparation of the points for use is today most advanced in Poznań and Szczecin, slightly less so in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Budimex Mobility plans to make them available to users in June.

Electromobility is one of the elements of the green pillar of Budimex’s operations. In recent months, the Group has been gradually increasing its investments in the renewable energy market – photovoltaic and wind installations. As part of BXF Energia, established in April, it plans to acquire and develop projects with a total capacity of 500MW over the next 4-5 years.
