A unique space for parents of the youngest patients has been created at the Heliodor Święcicki Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinical Hospital in Poznań. On 4 December, Budimex officially opened the 44. Parent Zone. The room, full of positive energy, was created and designed thanks to the initiative of the mother of one of the young patients, who turned to the company about it. The implementation took place as part of the “Parent Zone. Budimex for Children”.
This time, a unique space appeared in the Heliodor Święcicki Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinical Hospital of the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań.
The opening of the 44. The Parent Zone took place on 4 December this year thanks to the initiative of Zuzanna – the mother of a small patient from Poznań, who turned to Budimex with this matter. The company immediately established contact with the hospital, and thanks to the volunteers, the new space now impresses with its décor, drawings on the walls, warm colors and full equipment for parents, their children and doctors. The renovated rooms have been equipped with feeding chairs with special armrests, sofas, desks and cabinets. In addition, running water was supplied to the feeding room, a washbasin, window sills and LED lighting were installed. This room has also been enriched with a new changing table. In the second of the renovated rooms, there is also space for a rehabilitation mattress, as well as toys and books that will make the time of families more pleasant during their stay in the hospital.

When Zuzanna came to us, we immediately knew that this project would be unique and deserved our full commitment. Budimex has been running the Parent Zone programme for over 10 years. During this time, new Parent Zones have been established in over 40 hospitals in all provincial cities of Polish. Over 1 million children and parents have benefited from the Zones during this time.
The nationwide program “Parent Zone. Budimex for Children” is implemented and financed fully by Budimex SA. This initiative aims to create unique places in children’s wards in Polish hospitals, where young patients can spend time in the company of their loved ones and develop through play. Providing children with friendly, colourful spaces helps to improve their well-being and supports the healing process.
