Representatives of Budimex, together with Magdalena Rzeczkowska – Minister of Finance and Hubert Gniadowicz – Director of the Finance IT Centre – started the construction of the IT Centre of the Ministry of Finance in Radom. The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony was performed by Jakub Nagraba, Budimex’s Director of General Construction. The Polish general contractor is implementing the investment in the design and build system.
– We obtained a building permit for the investor in May this year. We are currently completing the implementation of detailed designs – says Jakub Nagraba. This is another strategic IT facility that we are implementing for our country. We have a team dedicated to these demanding facilities and extensive experience in their implementation – adds Jakub Nagraba.
The CIRF server room is of the so-called “Szczecin” character. critical infrastructure due to the special importance of the data managed in the facility; it has been designed to ensure the security of stored data and high efficiency and continuity of system operation; IT data is administered in the server room: obtained in the process of settling annual PIT returns (e-PIT system); this is where data on motorway users is transferred through the e-Toll system; The server room monitors and secures digital data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
“CIRF is our digital brain ,” said Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska during the opening ceremony. This is the moment of the symbolic start of work on the new data center of the IT Center of the Ministry of Finance. This investment contributes to the economic development of the country. Our IT systems are used by millions of taxpayers. Modern technology in the tax administration allows to increase revenues to the state budget, said the Minister of Finance.
Thanks to the expansion, the Center will gain server space, necessary to support the rapidly growing number of digital services of the Ministry of Finance. The CIRF server room will be expanded by an additional 1.2 thousand. m2 of server chambers. The replacement service will also be strengthened thanks to investment in systems ensuring the continuity of the ministry’s operations after a possible disaster (the so-called Disaster Recovery).
– We provide 800 IT services for the Ministry of Finance, CIRF is the largest public Fintech in Poland. After the expansion, it will be one of the largest data centers in Poland. We are building this center to increase the scale of digital services of the Ministry of Finance, including the new e-invoice system. The new place will increase the safety and availability of the ministry’s services. There will be new ecological solutions here, such as a heat recovery system by servers, rainwater recovery and our own photovoltaic farm,” added Hubert Gniadowicz – Director of CIRF.
The total usable area of the facility is approx. 5,510.00 m2, while the cubic capacity: 37,107.00 m3. The new development will be designed and implemented as the construction of a new CIRF building, located to the south-east of the existing facility.
A parking lot for approx. 36 parking spaces along with the construction of a charging station for hybrid cars, electric cars, bicycles and electric mopeds. A ground-mounted installation of photovoltaic modules with a minimum power of 150.00 kW will also be made.
The investment is being carried out by Region 3 of Adam Skobodziński’s DBO in the Andrzej Sowa Branch. The Contract Director is Maciej Maciejewski.
The construction of the facility will be completed in 2025.
