Construction of the didactic building of the Institute of Computer Science of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, which was built behind the headquarters of the Institute of Mathematics at ul. Academic. The building has six floors and a total area of 6.5 thousand m2. The new building has two typologically different facades – one light, fully glazed, the other massive, with colorful bay windows that meet in the southern, pointed corner. The double façade and LED lighting enable climatic and acoustic protection of the interiors, and at the same time allow for the introduction of colors on the façade from the side of the street. Academic. The functions of the building are based on two intersecting communication routes. The didactic building of the Institute of Computer Science of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin received the third degree award in the category “Buildings of Science and Culture” in the “Construction of the Year 2012” competition. The net value of the project is PLN 23 million.
