As part of the investment, a tram route to the Nicolaus Copernicus University was designed and built in the Bielany housing estate.

As part of three tasks, the following were built: a tram line, an interchange in al. Solidarności, modernized Olimpijska tram terminus. A total of 5 kilometers of single track, 31 tram turnouts and 19 stop platforms were built. About 2 kilometers of the route were made on beams in the green track technology. What is more, the investment also included the reconstruction of the system of streets and squares through which the route runs and the modernization of the Zachodnia rectifier station.
